methods to determine glucose in the food

Hello!

I need some help with my research, I just cant get the right answers on the internet, I really dont know where to find my answers, so that is why I am here.

Basically the question is : research how food methods (we used bread, eggs, orange juice and milk) could be used quantitatively to determine actual amounts of these food substances (which are glucose or starch etc)

We did the experiment with the benedicts and biuret solution, which was done qualitatively but now we have to explain the quantitatively procedure.
I am not sure if I got it right but do you just repeat the same experiments and draw a graph and note the results and see where the line goes?

To be it quantitative, you need to accurately measure the amount of glucose. You could theoretically try to measure it spectroscopically from the biuret or benedicts, but I think, there are precipitates, right?
You can use some kind of linked enzymatic reactions. I think for glucose is used some oxidoreductase and linked reaction for recovery of the coenzyme

Don't say things like this^^^^.... stay positive and you'll figure it out. That's what has always helped me out.

mmm lets see how can i make it easier to understand...mmmm
ohk you form standard solutions (i.e. you make glucose solution or protien solution of known concentration) and then carry out the tests and then carry out colorimetry or spectroscopy....
if colorimetry is carried out then dont forget to shake the sample well. plot a graph (called the standard curve)
then you take your sample and carry out the test and ceck where it lies on the graph...
