Chemically or Surgically Tame wild animals

Hello all,

I am currently doing a paper for my university. I am wondering if it is possible to Surgically or Chemically tame a wild animal.

I know that the amygdala controls fear and emotions, and that hormones also play an important role in behavior.

I would like to know if any one here has any insights into what processes one could look into, with regard to chemically or surgically taming wild animals.

It's not that simple. Removing testes can make some male animals more controllable, but that's as close as you can get.
