Flash freeze Freeze dry specimensFirst post
I'm looking for a way to remove all water from a mushroom specimen without the normal wrinkling and shrinking that happens when mushrooms dry. I wonder in flash freezing a live specimen and then drying it in a freeze drier would do the trick. The ultimate goal is to preserve the mushroom in a lifelike state and encase it in an acrylic cube. I would love to hear your thoughts if you have experience flash freezing or freeze drying specimens. Dan Molter
if you want to transfer it to acryle, what about increasing concentration of ethanol or some alcohol is used for drying.
But as said david23, not sure, how would it work on organism-level... http://www.biolib.cz/en/main/
Cis or trans? That's what matters.
