BL21 (DE3) aggregates

Postby sinadas » Fri Mar 05, 2010 11:28 am

Hello everybody!

In our lab, we've prepared competent BL21 (DE3) cells with a standard protocol. During incubation at 37 ºC, after plasmid addition, we saw a pellet-like aggregate in the bottom of the eppendorf tube. Finally, the transformation didn't work, there were not any colonies in the plates. We don't know why it happens... Please, help us quickly because we need competent cells.

Thanks, ciao!
