Triton X-100 extractionSomeone please, what does it imply if a cytoskeletal protein is removed/retained after a mild Triton X-100 wash?
Seems to be a common technique yet no simple interpretaion of the results obtained from using this technique...
Triton is detergent, it's supposed to cover the hydrophobic pathes of transmembrane proteins or proteins stacked together by them. It should also break the membranes efficiently.
