Help me to find chimpanzee pictures, please!!

Postby LMI87 » Tue Feb 23, 2010 6:36 pm

Dear members of the forum,

I have to ask you for a weird favour. I need some pictures for my final year research project and I wonder if any of you could help me. The materials that I need for my project are pictures of adult female common chimpanzees in estrus (with the sexual swelling in its maximum state of tumefaction). Both, the face (with neutral expression) and the sexual swelling of the animals must be visible, and each photo must be of a different individual. In addition, the animal should not be manipulating any object nor its body should be covered by one.
If you have any photo like the ones described or you know where I can find them, please, send me the pictures (with the data of the author) or a message to laura.martinezinnigo@estudiante.uam.es. (PD: Sorry for the grammar mistakes, I’m not English speaker)

Thank you very much in advance

Have you done an image search on chimpanzee estrus?

If you mean in the google image searcher, yes, in Spanish, English, French and German. I have also looked up with "chimpanzee", "Female chimpanzee", etc. Do you know any other image searcher where I could look for them?
Thank you

Google is your best option. You might search for chimp sanctuaries and in zoos - those sites might have photos that don't come up in an image search (which relies on the labels tagged to the images).
