Difference between proto-oncogenes and tumor supressor genesWhat is the difference between proto-oncogenes and tumor supressor genes?
I know that proto-oncogenes when injured or mutated generate oncogenes, whose synthesized proteins lead to neoplasi in different ways. But isn't that the case also for tumor supressor genes? I really don't get the difference.
