growth in dark

Let's grow some plant in dark, so it won't synthesize chlorophyll (why should it?) and doesn't photosynthesize. How can it then grow? Where does it take stuff for growth and everything?
I would be fine with e.g. bean, which has large seeds, but what about some oat?

i think for that you must refer to or look into the plants that grow in rainforest in darkness, help it will.

It will grow to a certain extent by using the energy in the endosperm and then die once all the energy from the endosperm is used up. The seedling should be white in complete darkness theoretically, however, there may be very little amounts of chlorophyll expressed. But over all chlorophyll production is positively correlated with sun light.

I have grown oat for two weeks. It was etiolated, but didn't seem, that it should die shortly...

I have already pure PAO from oat isolated, so I won't have many choices to see cell death
