microRNA IsolationCan anyone please tell me if microRNAs are isolated along with larger RNA molecules using the caesium chloride RNA extraction protocol?
I have previously extracted RNA from frozen cell line material using caesium chloride centrifugation. I am now interested in microRNA and was wondering if my previously extracted RNA would also contain these small molecules.
Re: microRNA IsolationLabgrl,
There is an active miRNA research subforum on BioForum. You might try your question there. I can't help with miRNA extraction steps, but they are often discussed in the siRNA, microRNA and RNAi subforum linked below. http://www.protocol-online.org/forums/index.php?showforum=21 Regards, - Jon
