I am really confused regarding the classification of Angiosperms. Are they the ones also called Magnoliophyta?. What have they got anything to do with Magnolias? How many subdivisions are there? There used to be only Dicots and Mononcots but when I looked it up there so many branches: Amborellaceae, Nympheaceae... . Every source gives its own interpretation. Which is the most recent system of Angiosperm classification??

the part of "magnoliophyta" that you have to notice is not the magnolia part, it is the "phyta" part - that is what tells you what level in the classification you are at.
And from what I know the latest classification divides them into amborella, water lilies, magnolias and eudicots. But these systematics are constantly changing, and there's never any one system everyone agrees upon
