A form of malnutrition when there is not enough protein in the minimal diet. Some kids when fed a high protein diet as therapy, also have iron added as most are anemic. Some of the kids are resistant to the iron, and they noticed that these kids have a low serum copper oxidase activity that needs to be corrected first.
