diuresisHow do i work out the urinary concentration of glucose using these figures:
Plasma glucose concentration: 18mmol/l Urinary glucose excretion rate: 0.18mmol/min Glomerular Filtration rate: 125ml/min Urine Flow rate: 2ml/min ?? im so confused!!
This is an easy one. The equation is Excretion rate = Urine Flow rate X Urine concentration
The units match too, You have 0.18 mmol/l = 2ml/min (convert ml to liter) x (???) mmol / liter Just divide and you get the concentration urine concentration of glucose. Now do you need help finding the clearance of glucose too, cause thats when you will need the plasma glucose and GFR. You dont need to them for excretion.
