Moluscus and ArthropodsHello people,
Well,I am 17-yr-old girl.I am preparing for my pre medical examination.I would like to get some idea about Phylums. What are Moluscus and Arthropods? I would be very thankful to you for helping me.
Mollusks
(Science: zoology) One of the grand divisions of the animal kingdom, including the classes Cephalopoda, Gastropoda, PteropodaScaphopoda, and Lamellibranchiata, or Conchifera. These animals have an unsegmented bilateral body, with most of the organs and parts paired, but not repeated longitudinally. Most of them develop a mantle, which incloses either a branchial or a pulmonary cavity. They are generally more or less covered and protected by a calcareous shell, which may be univalve, bivalve, or multivalve. Formerly the Brachiopoda, Bryzoa, and Tunicata were united with the Lamellibranchiata in an artificial group called Acephala, which was also included under Mollusca. See Molluscoudea. See our dictionary also for arthropods. I didn't know medical examinations tested phylums... Living one day at a time;

wow........ 17 years old and preparing for pre-med.........what year did u graduate from high school?????????? good luckkkkkkkkkk.
Hm, this sounds interesting. Could you tell me the relationship between your pre medical examination and the Molluscs and Arthropods things? I am starting to do a research in Immunobiology using mollusc species. Maybe we can do something together or whatever...

Arthropoda is the largest phylum and mollusca is the second largest phylum.........arthropoda include
subphylum trilobita subphylum chelicerata class merostomata-horseshoe crabs class arachnida - spiders,scorpions,ect. subphylum crustacea-crabs,shrimp,lobster subphylum uniramia class chilopoda-centipede class diplopoda-millipede class insecta - insects Phylum mollusca include... class monoplacophora class polyplacophora - chitons class scaphopoda - tusk or tooth shells class gastropoda - snails class bivalvia - clams, muscles, oysters class cephalopoda - squid, nautilus, octopus hope that helps
They are two awesome phyla! yay.
