MackJ: yeah, but that's what life does. Breaks the second law of thermodynamics and makes things sort
Virus: yeah, you just have to start from simple and get to more complicated anyone: I just read news, that scientists confirmed organic molecules on some asteroid from Mars (found back in 80's or like that) http://www.biolib.cz/en/main/
Cis or trans? That's what matters.
Cool. There's also some asteroid specimen that seemed to have some kind of bacteria in it when they looked at it through the electronic microscope. I can't remember the exact name of the specimen...(number actually)

I got it. Look up asteroid ALH84001 or just ALH84001 (the name stands for the place where it was found and the date, just for those who didn't know).

ok on the one linneage of life... But to debate the validity of Urey and Miller's experiment... the organic soup DID probably mean protobionts... and while not life, they are probably the best precursor to it. While I can offer no insight to how they made the jump, they are, I believe, our closest speculation to what actually happened. And I AM ASKING... so keep in mind I don't know... explain deposition (like the opposite of sublimation); I am not a chem guy. The laws of thermodynamics state that entropy should be increasing constantly. Why does deposition happen? Isn't this a more organized form of energy? Obviously this doesn't violate the laws, or else it wouldn't happen, but could that answer explain the jump in some way?
Re:
Sorry. Date and nº of specimen. Year 1984 + 1º specimen=84001. ”It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent that survives. It is the one that is the most adaptable to change.”
