ATP - metabolically active cellsCan anyone please explain (in plain english) if the body has additional ATP the effects this may have on metabolism. I am working on a case study about hyperthyroidism can find all symptoms but just cant get my head round the cellular response????????

i am not too sure but excessive atp will be stored. or in the first case not be produced. for storage it will be converted to other forms. but as we know it is only an "energy currency" it shall be only be produced when need be. and it basically help supply energy to energy requiring reactions from energy yielding ones. it isn't what you do that matters but it is how you do it
