Greek is useful:
Penta=5
Dactyl=fingered

Now look at your hands and feet, what can you see at the ends? And if you do a bit of comparative anatomy of animals you will have a deeper insight of the importance of that characteristic

Hi yes i have the basics what i need to know is possibly very simple but the differences and similarites between the arm and leg. I have looked everywhere. Thanks

Well differences you should be able to find them. But look at the bone structure: Number of bones in each part, organization of them and size (that will be differences)
