Synchronizing MDCK cells and p53

Yello, I've recently been trying to synchronize MDCK cells using a double thymidine block. In some random protocol I've found on the net deisgned for HeLa it reads that double thymidine blocks only work in p53 negative cells, which would the method useless in my cells.

Does anyone have any experience in synchronizing MDCK cells, and if so would you have a proper protocol? thanx take care weesper
