replyyou must have 2 things:
+a TEM microscopic to have a view +a solution of micro marbles that you know the concentration(y) Then disolve them with an equal volume and count on microscopic.(see a phage, b micromarble) Finally solve the function x=ab/y . I will find the name of this method for you.

There are easier solutions, that do not need any microscope: search for plaque assay? counting.

First, related to the question at the beginning of the thread, I do not think you have to take this into account: He's talking about bacteriophage, You just a sensitive strain of bacteria, the one used for propagating the phage would be good Then if you cannot use plaque, your method seem good to me, although a real pain to prepare compared to the other...
