Does the Islets of langerhans have receptors for binding other monosaccharides apart from glucose (such as fructose etc)?

you are thinking of insulin and glucagon right, since Islets of langerhans is on the pancreas that secrete them.
The Islets of langerhans does not uptake glucose. You are thinking of the liver maybe?
