Two different colored eyes

I am a young lady with two different colored eyes. no one in my family has two different colored eyes, and all of my friends laugh. some of them say its cool but i hate when a conversation starts on it or when people stare at it. but anyways, i want to know why i have it if not many people do, and plus it doesn't run in the family. can someone tell me why i have two different colored eyes?!!!?

The condition is called Heterochromia, it is caused by damaged melanocytes or genetic conditions such as chimerism or mosaicism. Its pretty cool I think, if you want more info visit:
