Hypotonic/Isotonic Solution Question?

Hi,

Just hoping someone can help me with this question. I'm stumped and confusing myself reading the same pages over and over.

The question is: Water molecules move into a cell, through a selectively permeable membrane when the surrounding solution is...
A. Hypertonic
B. Hypotonic
c.Isotonic
D. Supertonic

I'm thinking it is either Hypotonic or Isotonic. Hypotonic is usually moving into a cell but Isotonic is in and out with equal concentrations and surrounding the cell.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Osmosis is the diffusion of water through a semi-permeable membrane, from a low concentrate solution (high water potential) to a highly concentrated solution (low water potential), up a solute concentration gradient.
