Presenting stats results - need help!!

Postby Treefrog » Sat Jul 04, 2009 4:30 pm

Hi all,

Does anyone know of a standard guide to presenting results? I've done general linear models - do i just need the p value and r^2 in the main text?

For the apppendix I've put a table with the following...

Model; Slope; SE; DF; r²; p-value;

with a row for the whole model, and a row for each variable with the difference in DF, r^2 and pvalue if each variable is excluded.

Does this sound right?

Thank you!!!
:D

What you've said sounds correct, I think. I don't have much experience with this though. I suggest searching some biology articles from Wiley Science or any other place to double check. The results go in their own section and there's a separate discussion section. As long as you are not discussing your results in the results section, just stating them you should be fine.
