adipose tissue - urgent helpI have 3 questions,
1. Can white adipocytes oxidise glucose or is it just brown adipocytes that are capable of oxidising both glucose and fatty acids in large quantities? 2. Which of the statements below are true ways in which the physiology of NST in the BAT of neonatal mammals is different from that of BAT in adult hibernators? a) NST is stimulated by adrenergic neurons. b) NST generates enough heat to raise the body temperature above its normal euthermic temperature. c) NST is stimulated as the body cools passively. d) Generation of heat by NST uses mainly aerobic metabolism. e) Generation of heat by NST uses mainly anaerobic metabolism. 3.In paracrine signalling in adipose tissue, do signals pass from only from adipocytes to stromal-vascular tissues? And can any cell be both a signaller and a receiver of messages? I would be grateful if someone could help. Juanita
Is there any1 who can help me with adipose tissue?Hi there,
I posted a message regarding adipose tissue but I notice nobody has answered me. Can someone please have a look and respond, Im really stuck. Juanita
Hi there,
I cannot help, but I would be grateful if to bump your thread, you just posted something in it rather than starting a new one. Good luck to find your answer, but I suggest that you share your thoughts about the possible answer, that might convince our regular poster to help you (see the thread about homework and the rules).
