baculovirus expression systemsHeya,
I am considering making a baculovirus for protein expression. I haven't found anybody local who has any recent experience doing this. So I went online and did some browsing. Of course, all the companies' websites say how easy and fantastic their products are, but this is not always true. Basically, what I need is ~1ug of purified 6x his-tagged soluble (and correctly processed) protein. The c-DNA in question is about 4k bp. I'm hoping to get away with an adherent culture, since we haven't got a special twirly incubator. Heck, I'm not even sure a baculovirus is what I want, but I think it's probably the way to go. Sage advice anyone?
