How do chemicals effect bacteria?
What is a method which tests the effectiveness of chemicals on bacterial growth?

Some bacteria can grow by fermenting sugars for energy metabolism. You could test different sugars with r.rubrum bacteria for e.g

In terms of killing bacteria, test bleach, disinfectants, antbiotics etc etc.

There is heaps of things to do.
