where is telomeresis it on every 46 Chromosomes?
so we have 46 pairs of them. and if we can extend it, then we can live longer??
Re: where is telomeresAs you said telomers define how long a human being can live. If there would be a way of making them longer well obviously lol humans could live longer is as simple as 1+1 =2. But it still does not discard the fact about sideeffects. But remember if a treatment like this would be introduced to an infant it would be a posibility for the infant to delay developing systems like the inmunological system, because it would take longer to get to that part of the telomer. I do not know if its on all 46 cromosomes though. If there would be a way of extending them you are adding information wich means we could remove information too. So maybe just maybe we could remove the infomation that makes you age with time, so not necesarily you will live longer maybe you will never age.
