Monkeys??!hello..
i'm not persuaded that monkeys are the origin of human beings.. how could some of people believe that? and plz give me some proofs to believe this theory.. as i know.. chimp has 48 chromosomes while the human has 46 chromosomes.. people can create.. think.. talk ...etc. while monkeys are not.. please , help me thanx all
It is believed that humans appeared due to a centric fuzion in chromosoms which led 48-->46

And note that chromosome number is not the exact way of classifying. For example: a pig(Sus scrofa) and a cat (Felis catus) has the same chromosome numbers(38 ).
It matters not how strait the gate

Ozge is right. All bacteria have the same number of chromosoms: 1!!

Lol... Yeah, bacteria only have one chromosome so that is why it would be impossible for them to ever have meiosis. Can you believe i actually met a teacher that didn't know this?

i have read a book before which says that between primates and man lies the missing link and that 'missing link' answers the link between the evolution of man...
it could either be the missing link that linked between primates-missing link-man or man-missing link-primates.... ...
I've read it also...by the way, if we imagine the missing link...is it like a hybrid of primates and humans??? @Andrew That bio teacher must be too old to remember such a thing... Q: Why are chemists great for solving problems?
A: They have all the solutions.
