Enquiry about APMA

Hello all,

In one of my gel zymography experiment, I add amino phenyl mercuric acetate(APMA) to the digestion buffer. And I wonder how it works with the gelatinases.But after searching on the Internet. I only found the simple discrition that it activates the gelatinases, but can somebody tell me in detail about how the structure of AMPA is and how about its function in gel zymography?
