DNA and RNA Polomerase

Am i understanding the polymerase correctly?
DNA polymerase fixes itself to DNA to replicate it? and RNA Polymerase fixes itself to DNA to make RNA?

one more question about Meiosis too please.

In doing my homework, i have for the stages of meiosis, prophase1, metaphase1 anaphase1 and telepase, then meiosis 2, with the a 2 behind the others, no interphase between meiosis 1 and meiosis 2, is interphase present in meiosis 1? to start the ball rolling?

yes
and i don't think there is an interphase between meiosis I and II

actually that depends on the particular cell. some cells no not even decondense their chromosomes from telophase I to prophase II, but others certainly do, they form a nuclear envelope and the nuclei look interphase-like. of course, even when this does happen, the interphase is very short and does not include any DNA synthesis.
