How would Gene Proteins Work as A Vaccine?

Hello biology-online I hope every one is doing fine , I would just like to ask a quick question.

How would enhancing Gene Proteins work as A Vaccine if I am learning to understand the

Chromosome structure, would that only apply to the DNA of which or whom I am studying v.s. another

patient or test subject.

Or does that mean I have to find out the Gene Protein as well as the Chromosome that is equal to

the species I am studying. For instance US as human beings or the Animal Kingdom lol ha ha .

If any one knows give me a holla aka or quick chat ha ha lol .

Vaccines generally present antigens - some molecule that sticks out of a pathogen - that the vaccinated can make antibodies to. To just use a protein from the pathogen will rarely work - even if it is a protruding protein, say a marker on a bacterium, it usually won't "present" to the immune system in such a way that an antibody can actually attach to the protein on the actual pathogen.

I'll give an example - it was recently found that part of a protruding protein on influenza viruses almost never changes between strains. A vaccine using that part MIGHT give protection against many strains, but that part is the "stalk" of a mushroom-shaped protein, and in strains where the proteins are very crowded or don't stick out as far, an antibody to the stalk wouldn't be able to get at the part it needs to attach to.

Hey how is every thing going biology-online, can a virus become a bacteria , or could a bacteria ever

be structured to attack a virus and defeat the virus., for instance like pencillin, but to a stronger or

complicated degree.
