leaf-to-air, soil-to-air vapour pressure deficit

Hi,

I need to figure out leaf to air vapour pressure deficit, but have had no luck after hours in the library. I simply dont get it at all!

also I need to figure out soil to air vapour pressure deficit, but the soil books in the library arent forthcoming with the information I need.

Would someone please help me out with these issues.
