Ranikhet DiseaseDoes anyone know if there is a treatment for a lovebird with Ranikhet Disease
is it contagoeus to humans where do they get it from his female companion isnt showing any symptoms but could she have it too. i have her with me and he is separated in his cage please give me any information on this subject
From a quick check, it shouldn't be contagious to humans, but then it seems to just be a poultry disease - are lovebirds poultry?
There is no treatment, but there is a vaccine (might be too late for that for your still-well bird if they've been infected already). And it is highly contagious among birds.
Re: Ranikhet Diseasemy lovebird is poultry. i have an aviary oe cockatiels near by to him. please tell me how this disease is spread. For example through saliva or feces or eggs? any other information at all will be helpful.
thanks
