Energy expediture

If the acitvity has a certain energy expenditure, would the same activity give a different energy expediture when it's different season. Meaning same activity, same amount of time, just different temperature. Would male use more energy than female performing the same energy? These question are with respect to male white tailed deer.

The colder something is, the more energy is needed to heat it up. You can actually burn a very small amount of calories drinking cold water.
