enzyme question

NOTE: This is not a homework question. This is a study effort for a big upcoming test.

Can enzymes use energy (like ATP) in powering their reactions? How do they catalyze reactions if they don't actively use energy like ATP??????

1- Yes of course.
2- just as any other inorganic catalyst work, they just cause changes in the chemical conformation of the substrate that wil make a reaction more likely.
