Do you guys see any connections between these three terms.

Morrison, drugs, positive feedback.

I was thinking of Jim Morrison and and how many believe he overdosed on heroin. I've been googling looking to see if the effects of a heroin overdose have anything to do with a positive feedback loop. Do you guys have any suggestions?

After reading a few more articles. I found a couple of leads.

Scientists have traced the neurobiological foundations of addiction to the ventral tegmental area (VTA) where the reward circuit is located. The reward system in the brain is activated when a person performs an action necessary to survival, such as eating. Activation of the reward circuit provides pleasurable feelings, giving positive feedback for necessary actions. Most abused drugs stimulate the reward system, and often provide greater pleasure than is normally the result of natural stimulation. The reward system underlies addiction to cocaine, speed, angel dust, herione, morphine, alcohol and tobacco

I also found a study trying to link drug addiction the circadian cycle which consistis of both positive and negative feedback. Im leaning towards the first theory though.
