hybrid fertillity?

I always thought that hybrid were always infertile.
And that one of the ways that scientist classify species is their inabiliy to breed and have fertile off spring.

Then I ran across the website below and one ornithologist is explaining to another that different species of love birds breed and do have viable young.

Does that mean the love birds aren't really different species?

Or does it mean that my basic defintion of what a species is -- is wrong?

Well, if they don't usually breed in the wild is another way of looking at it.
