Re: How is everyone doing?I thought Micropterus was in (*edit*)Percidae(*edit*)... (I originally said Cyprinidae... see that's how rusty I am)
but then again it's been a few years since I took Ichthyology. I LOVED that class, by the way. Yes, wading around in creeks and rivers collecting fish is badass. It must be especially cool in the Mississippi River delta area cuz of the amazing fishy biodiversity. The great thing is - you'll totally get to do that for a job too: at least for the first few years out of college Aside from my usually botany surveys, I also got to do some salmon spawning surveys back in December. Was puurrty fun. What did the parasitic Candiru fish say when it finally found a host? - - "Urethra!!"
The classification may have changed, since taxonomists tend to do that from time to time, but we were taught that Micropterus is in Centrarchidae.

Re: How is everyone doing?Hello!
I am doing good. Very Busy Hope everyone is well and happy "How far you go in life depends on your being tender with the young, compassionate with the aged, sympathetic with the striving and tolerant of the weak and strong. Because someday in life you will have been all of these".

Re: How is everyone doing?I'm crappy. A conjugate for a flu immunofluorescence kit I'm validating disappeared after 6 weeks of incubation! As in out of the bottle. Only explanations are evaporation or leakage, but I can't see how either would have happened. :/ It was only kept at 25°C and as far as my line manager know this hasn't happened before. Now I have to start again and wait until another 6 weeks and it's needed urgently!
All I need a job offer so I can gladly had in my notice!
Re: How is everyone doing? As of now, I'm currently waiting for a message or a call from a hospital. I have to look after my mother. Still managing to finish all my tasks before Tuesday. This month of March really keeps me marching to work

I do believe I shall take this time to vent and express myself(aka complain.... rofl I can make anything sound so nice)
Im very busy, filling out college stuff, taking care of my mom half the time, dealing with all my friends drama and being the peacemaker/pacifist in the group*, I just got done with a 126 Question test, and a lot of other stuff... I feel like a decapitated chicken. maybe I should just tell people to leave me alone and let me get my stuff done first-no wait. then there would be fights and someone else could get suspended/expelled. you dont want to know how many times Ive put myself between alex from my school and a rumor queen to stop a fight... *(its so strange I hang with 95% guys and still see so much drama it makes my head spin! who ever said guys dont hold grudges, are calmer, or anything is dead wrong! but girls can get a lot worse I suppose...) GRRRRRRRRRRR "Courage is not always a roar, but sometimes a quite whisper at the end of the night saying 'I will try again tomorrow'"-unknown
Contrary to popular belief, boys can be bitchy and moody. I have to put up with one such boy 5 days a week at work. :S
My advice is to try not to exert so much energy into preventing arguments between other people for two reasons: In the end of the day, people need to learn from their own mistakes and constantly holding them back could prolong the situation, rather than letting them get it out of their system and deal with the consequences. Also this could backlash onto you, as people might use you as a scapegoat for interfering.
