Oxygen levels in glomeruli

In my school text book there is something that I think contradicts itself and I've been to multiple teachers, even a physics one, but none seem to understand it. Could someone here help me?

Now, in the glomeruli, within the kidneys, certain substances are filtered out of the blood. This is why the concentrations of different substances differ between the afferent arteriole and the efferent arteriole. Now, in our textbook it says that although the glomeruli do not decrease the amount of oxygen in the blood, the concentration of oxygen within the blood does change, because a large amount of plasma is filtered out. Therefore the concentration of O2 would be bigger in the efferent arteriole than in the afferent arteriole because it is the same amount of O2 in less plasma.

This makes sense. However the textbook also says that the pO2 stays virtually the same in both arterioles. This I don't understand as the pO2 depends on the concentration of O2 in the substance and the concentrations do differ. Can someone explain this? It could work if the pO2 does in fact not depend on the concentration of the O2, but on the amount of O2, but I'm not really sure how that would work.
