What animal is this? Is it a type of fox?Our XO has a calender called "Planet Earth" with photos. One page has a animal that has stumped us. We can't figure out what type of animal it is. One argument is if it is even a real animal or has it been photoshopped. Then if it is real what is it? A fox? If anyone can look at the picture and tell me what it is I would greatly appreciate it.
This is a Tibetan Fox (Vulpes ferrilata). There is some info about it here: http://www.canids.org/species/Vulpes_ferrilata.htm
Quite a strange species of the Vulpes genus in that it has evolved much smaller ears than almost all of the others. A wise man once said to me:
"Build a man a fire, and he'll be warm for a day. Set a man on fire, and he'll be warm for the rest of his life." Only the fittest chickens cross the road.
