chromosome 12

Postby ericaro » Wed Feb 18, 2009 5:46 am

My question is: My son has been tested for genetics abnormalities and they found a deletion on - p arm (short arm) and an extra on +q arm (long) on the same arm of the same chromosome , the 12th..They said it's never been reported before, they said they never saw a case like that before..I'm just wondering if somebody heard that before and if you have a little bit of information to give me...They are going to compare my son's chromosomes with ours to see which genes are missing and which one are extra..I'm sorry i don't have any other information...Can somebody help me...Thanks.
