Need help with two questions; (cells, & the cytoplasm)Q6. Explain why it is necessary for even simple cells to contain several hundred genes.
I'm at a blank here. (Note, Q7 is to do with cytoplasms.) Q7. b) Of which type of chemical compound are they made? I think it's protein molecules, but are protein molecules classified as a chemical compound? Do I have to say it's made out of amino acid subunits or something? I'm confused. Thanks for helping in advance.
Re: Need help with two questions; (cells, & the cytoplasm)There's nothing vague about these questions. The 1st is intuitively obvious as Zorro implies. The second is a simple matter of chemistry,
It's vague because the cytoplasm contains a lot more stuff than just proteins...including water, inorganic salts, lipid polymers etc etc. What "type" would this fall under? Even if we take a broader definition and pretend that they're asking for types, there's still a lot of leeway in defining what exactly a type is.

Re: Need help with two questions; (cells, & the cytoplasm)Sorry you're so confused mith, tho' I'm not sure why you had to tell us.
