Fungal DNA extrtaction problem

Dear all
I am trying to extract DNA (size >30kb) from a filamentous fungi. no mater what technique i used the DNA size is always less then 15 kb. I will be thankful if any one can help me and send me a protocol that is capable of extracting greater then 30 kb fragment DNA

I'm probably totally wrong here, but how much do you know about the fungal DNA. 15kb piece seems to me to be coincidentally 50% of 30kb. Is it possible the the DNA in the fungus is two separate chromosomes?

I am really sorry i did not pick your point, if you could explain clearly? I have compared my extracted DNA with Limbda DNA (Hind III digested) and 1 kb DNA ladder. all the time its greater then 10 kb band and less then 24 kb of Limbda DNA.
