Crysectioning thymus

Hello all,

I would like to cryosection a mouse thymus for immunofluorescence. Does anyone know how "deep" I should start in the thymus if I want to see the medullary and thymic epithelial cells? Say my mouse thymus is about 5mm thick...can I start 1 mm in? Should my sections be along a rostal-caudal axis?
