Rate of Cell division in 4 regions of an onion root tip HELPHello there,
I have to look at four regions of an onion root tip and rank which will have the fastest to slowest cell division rate: Root Cap, Apical Meristem, Zone of Elongation, and the Zone of Maturation. So far, I've come up with this: (1 being the fastest) Root Cap...............4 Apical Meristem.......1 Zone of Elongation ...2 Zone of Maturation...3 I believe the Apical Meristem will have the fastest rate, because it is the region of active growth. What do you think of my ranking above? Any input or thoughts please? I'm not all that confident in my answer. Thanks.
