Overall formula for cellular respiration?

Postby Decker on Tue Jun 28, 2005 10:50 pm

Which of the following is the overall formula for cellular respiration?
I want to say "b".

(a) energy + 6CO<2> + 6H<2>O + C<6>H<12>O<6> + 6O<2>

(b) C<6>H<12>O<6> + 6O<2> -> energy + 6CO<2> + 6H<2>O

(c) ATP + glucose -> ADP + glucose + energy

(d) 2H<2> + O<2> -> 2H<2>O

I would really appreciate any help you all can give, thanks in advance.

The overall formula would fill a good-sized book.

The overall formula for photosynthesis would fill a good-sized library...

B is the answer, I think.

@Kyle
Doesn't overall mean "basic"? As in the opposite of detailed?

B is the correct answer.
