Helppp!!!! allele frequencies/genotype problemI need some help with figuring out this problem... I've tried to read how to do these problems, but I just don't get it!
A researcher conducts a cross between to lab rats, both of which have spotted coats. The spotted hair coat allele (S) is dominant to the white coat allele (s). Of the offspring, 373 have spotted coats and 127 have white coats. What are the genotypes of the parents, and why?
Re: Helppp!!!! allele frequencies/genotype problemfirst of all the you should write out the phenotypes which are; SS-spotted, Ss-spotted, and ss-white.This will help you a lot in finding out the answer;hopefully.
