Biology booksHello all,
I'm interested in biology books that cater for the general reader (or the layman), like The Selfish Gene by Richard Dawkins. Anyone has any recommendation(s) of any sort? Vivado.
how about
The Double Helix : A Personal Account of the Discovery of the Structure of DNA by James D. Watson http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/de ... s&n=507846 Ok, an old book written in the 50/60s ? but still interesting
If you want to learn more about evolution then read - Darwins Ghost - by Steve Jones

Scourge: The Once and Future Threat of Smallpox[/i] by Jonathan B. Tucker.
[u]Virus Hunter. I don't remember the author. The Naked Ape by Desmond Morris. Please note that the ideas within have been discredited by most current biologists. It's a classic though, and having read it will be useful as many other books refer to it, giving refutations of various parts of it. You won't really understand the refutations as well unless you've read it first.
