What are some journal sources about biochemists?

Postby Gary500 » Tue Dec 23, 2008 12:11 am

I need a professional journal source for my research on biochemist Arthur Kornberg. Where can I find one?

Each year the Annual Reviews of Biochemistry has a personal look at the field by someone well-known. I'd be willing to bet Kornberg did one (possibly two). Peruse the tables of contents. Sometimes Journal of Biological Chemistry will do a similar type of article, but those pop up haphazardly, so even if it exists, finding the one on/by Kornberg may be difficult. You can also look up his Nobel lecture and biographical sketch on file with the Nobel people. You might be able to find something on the National Academy of Sciences website. Maybe his NYT obiturary has a link or two, don't know though. Nature and Science both would have done obituaries on him, I'm quite sure. He died sometime in 2007 so check the issues in the later parts of 2007 or early 2008.
