Introduction to Genetics Concept Mapwhat does the biology term True Breeding Stocks mean?
It means homozygous. If you were to breed two individuals from the same stock, you will have all progeny of parental phenotype.
Alleles/genes are positioned on chromosomes. For simplicity, let's take one gene (i.e. gene A) for an example. If two individuals from the same stock (with homozygous pairs of gene A) were breed, the progeny also has homozygous gene A pairs.
