need help with evolution questionI was asked this following question, and could not find the answer anywhere.. I figured you guys could help me out on this one..
What are 2 sources of evidence that biologists offer to verify that the evolution of new species has actually occurred over geologic time periods.
The fossil record is pretty much a classic. Then one can look at the differences of DNA sequences, for example: the closer the species are to one another, the bigger their degree of homologue. Differences in sequences of certain genes, for example, can then be used to evaluate the changes that have been required to, say, make humans out of apes and so forth.
Just to give you two examples.
Re: need help with evolution questionactually i don't understand your question fully. there are six areas which scientists use to provide evidence of evolution:
- fossil record - comparative anatomy - comparative biochemistry - comparative embryology - molecular biology - biogeography i guess that you can use fossil record and biogeography to answer your question
Re: need help with evolution questionprob should do your own homework
